Orchardleigh House

We had our wedding at Orchardleigh house, and it was perfect! I wish I could do it all again. Our Wedding coordinator Heather was incredible being a fantastic support and kept the day running amazingly everything felt seamless and easy. Even though our summer wedding turned out to be a very British wet wedding, the plans were modified and prepared perfectly before we had moment to think about them. The day ran like clockwork without feeling pressured. The house was amazing and felt truly ours for the day, allowing us to put our own personality and feel into the wedding and party, which was very important to me when choosing a venue. We had our ceremony in the beautiful St Marys church which felt even more special being on its own little island within the estate. Chris drove us there and back in the stunning 1932 Rolls Royce 20/25 and Heather managed to get me in and out the church dry! All our guest had the most amazing time and especially enjoyed the food and being able to party till 2:30am! The boat house is stunning and the perfect place to relax and take in the fact we are now married looking out over the stunning lake. We didn’t want to leave.

We had our wedding at Orchardleigh House in September 2023 and could not fault this fantastic venue. All the team at Orchardleigh were amazing and we had the best day. Rachel was our coordinator and everything ran so smoothly thanks to her. We were lucky to have our ceremony and reception outside - an incredible backdrop. The drinks, canapés and meals were faultless - our wedding breakfast was beef / veggie wellington for 130 people and despite the large numbers, the food was exceptional. The house is really impressive. There is plenty of space and it’s nice to have different rooms for guests to enjoy. The accommodation was good and everyone was happy with their room. We stayed in the Bonita Suite which had a lovely view and was spacious. We used the Castle and Lodge the night before which is a great bonus. The Castle is great for entertaining the night before the wedding! The Boat House on the Sunday night was the perfect way to end the weekend… it’s so picturesque and quiet. A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Orchardleigh House.

We had a truly wonderful stay at The Boathouse on the Orchardleigh Estate for a birthday celebration. Staff were very welcoming and accommodating. The location of the Boathouse is incredibly special, with stunning views, and many opportunities to see wildlife and relax. A very unique and special place to stay. Can't wait to go back.

What a great house, attended our sons wedding and stayed the night, the house is beautiful a great place to have a wedding fully wheelchair accessible with disabled room and wet room. The staff wow such a lovely bunch of people so helpful and nothing was too much for them, A massive thankyou for a great few days I would recommend everyone to book there for weddings, party, any occasion as your well looked after, Also Buddy the frenchie had a great time.

Beautiful views, fabulous golf course. Personally not somewhere I would choose to stay again. I stayed over night for a friend's wedding. My room was the Tower room which I was very excited about. But felt let down by although you can get a good view by walking a lot of a stairs, watch out for the swarm of flies on the inside of the windows. The room itself was very dated and yes I know its a old but needs interior work doing. My advice if your looking to stay for the night get the cheapest room then get drunk enough that you don't need to worry. Staff were lovely but appeared understaffed. Watch out at the bar as depending on who serves you depends on what you are charged. Overall its okay.

You'll find yourself here for a wedding or likewise group function, as it can't be booked in a hotel style format. Set in the grounds of a huge estate with some phenomenal country views. As with many old manor houses converted into entertainment venues, this one shows signs of tiredness. With the current economic climate, the finances aren't quite getting to the decor that clearly are fatigued. This said, a couple glasses of wine and riveting conversations during your stay will enable you to see past the peeling paintwork and threadbare carpets. The estate grounds are well managed and boast lovely long walks. The grounds also contain an 18-hole golf course with perfectly manicured greens. I enjoyed my stay, but those who crave wifi may stuggle with fomo, as i never found any!!!
